Two Chosen for Spartanburg County Early College High School
Two Carver graduates have been chosen to attend Spartanburg County Early College High School (SCESHS) in the fall. Through this program students can gain both a high school diploma and an associates degree during their high school year. Most students go on to finish their bachelor's degree at a four-year college.
Destiny Miller and Trinity Simpson were both enrolled in Carver's AVID classes, which prepare students for the organizational challenges and academic rigor of college. They were both excellent students and highly involved in extracurricular activities at Carver, including PALS Club.
They are also friends.
"At first I was so nervous, thinking I wouldn't know anyone. But then I found out Destiny got in, too," says Simpson.
Carver is proud of both of these young ladies and look forward to seeing what they choose to do in the future.
