ABOUT SPARTANBURG
Spartanburg County, the 4th-largest in South Carolina, is home to more than 301,000 people and 13 unique municipalities.
There’s something for everyone here. A growing downtown with new shops and restaurants, and public art on every corner. International companies and countless small businesses offering career opportunities, and organizations to help you get involved civically and professionally. Miles and miles of trails, blueways and incredible outdoor recreation offerings. Community-minded approaches to education and public health.
Families, young professionals, retirees, entrepreneurs, they all call Spartanburg home, growing, evolving and expanding with our community.
OneSpartanburg is the culmination of a nine-month, six-phase research and strategic planning process aimed at identifying how to raise levels of prosperity and improve quality of life for all Spartanburg County residents.
The final product is an action-oriented five-year community and economic development plan to be implemented through OneSpartanburg and its strategic community partners.

- HUB-BUB, one of the most innovative artist residence programs in the nation
- Morgan Square, a graceful city centric park hosting holiday ice skating, Jazz on the Square,
- Seven public and private accredited colleges and universities and a dynamic public school system
- Entertainment venues like Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium and the Chapman Cultural Center

’s easy to enjoy the outdoor life in Spartanburg. Bring your kayak and hiking boots to explore our blueways and greenways, or grab your bike and trek miles of roads and trails. Croft State Park and the Swamp Rabbit Trail are just a few of the many parks and trails found in the area. Designated a Bicycle Friendly Community, Spartanburg is home to several B-Cycle stations with rentable bikes - making it easy to hit the ground rolling!
