Mr. Jeffrey Stevens
Mr. Jeff Stevens assumed the role of Superintendent for Spartanburg School District Seven in July of 2020. He brings valuable experience to the role of through his 30 years as an educator and administrator, and also through his lifetime commitment to the betterment of this community.
A proud product of District Seven, having graduated from Spartanburg High School in 1985, he went on to earn undergraduate and graduate degrees from Western Carolina University, Furman University and Converse College. He worked in lockstep with former superintendent Russell Booker during his role as Chief Operations Office for District 7 and prior to that as principal of Spartanburg High School for 11 years. Mr. Steven’s shared vision for District 7 and for Spartanburg continues to play a major role in his leadership as superintendent.
“Forward Together.” As we head into this new school year you will hear these words time and again throughout the District. With a momentous year ahead in light of the COVID – 19 pandemic, the process of implementing “Forward Together” has energized both faculty and students alike. We stand together, today and going forward together, to build hope within our children for their future. Our students, teachers and staff, our families, community partners and stakeholders have all been invested in charting this direction, and we will live out these ideals inside and outside of the classroom every day.
Alongside his dedicated aministrative staff, Mr. Stevens remains full of the hope, determination, resilience, and heart that enables the entire D7 team to find the way to advance our goal to be the District of choice in Spartanburg and to focus on our mission of inspiring and equipping our students for meaningful lives of leadership and service as world citizens. The call to action is to move Forward Together, as a school district and as a community.
Mr. Stevens and his wife, Kellie, have been married 21 years and are the proud parents of two children, Garrett and Claire. They reside on the Eastside of Spartanburg County.
