Ms. Althea Peak

I am Althea Peak and I teach 2nd grade at Drayton Mills Elementary School.  I am a 1992 graduate of Winthrop University with a B.S. in Early Childhood Education.  I obtained a Master of Education Degree from Cambridge University in 2003. In 2012 I added my Masters plus 30 in EL. I have taught grades K, 2, and 3. Teaching is my passion, but I also enjoy many other facets of life.  I enjoy writing funny stories about the experiences I have had with my students.  My dream is to one day put my collective thoughts and writings into a book.  As Maya Angelou once stated, “My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive. and to do so. with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.”

"Drayton Mills Elementary School is proud to be a Title I School!"
