    Class Discipline Plan

    Rules:

                   Students and Teachers will follow the Golden Rule in our class:  Treat others the way you want to be treated. 

                   Students and Teachers will also follow the mutually agreed upon Social Contract which will be developed by our class and posted in the classroom.

    Consequences are any one or more of the following depending on repeated or major behaviors.  If a student Behaves Out, the student will also receive a referral:

                    Social Contract

                    Four Questions

                    Loss of Level(s)

                    Parent Contact

                     Lunch Detention

                    Behave Out 

                    Minor Referral

                    Major Referral

    Incentives:

                    Affirmations

                    Free Time

                    High Levels

                    Points

                    Class Store

                    School Store

    Procedures:

                    Use hand gestures for Time Out, Foul, and Check            

                    Work quietly and steadily during independent work time

                    If you finish early complete an entry on the Independent Learning Log

                    Remain seated during direct instruction and/or while anyone (adult or student) is speaking to the class

                    Restroom Breaks will be supervised during free time or class transition times.

                    Passes to the restroom, nurse, office, or other classes will be given rarely and will be given solely at the teacher’s discretion

                    Students must follow the School rules, dress code, hallway and restroom procedures

                    Students will receive a consequence(s) for any misbehavior reported to me by other staff members

                    Students must meet our class at the designated area and time after lunch

                    Contact with parents will be made through texts, phone calls, or emails when a student’s behavior (either positive or negative) warrants it

                    The Weekly Documentation Sheet will be sent home with students once a week and must be signed by a parent and returned by the student the next school day in                    order to the student to receive 3 PBI points and 100 class points.  If students return any other home correspondences (such as progress or report cards) within a                      week, they will receive 3 PBI points and 100 class points.

                    Each student will start daily on the level the student was on the day before.  Students will have intervals of time throughout the day to stay on or move up levels.                      Students may move down levels at any time during the day.  Students on Blue by the end of the day will receive 100 class/3 PBI points; students on Green 75                          class/2 PBI points; students on Yellow 50 class/1 PBI points; and students on Red will receive 0 class points. Students on Red may receive PBI points. Class and PBI                  points will be used to purchase items from the Class and/or School Stores.

    Levels:

                    Blue Level/ Excellent:                                                     90-100% compliance

                    Green Level/ Good:                                                        80-89%   compliance

                    Yellow Level /Fair                                                           70-79%   compliance

                    Red Level /Poor                                                              0-69%     compliance

    Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year.  I am looking forward to working with you and your child this year.  I know our partnership will help your child flourish.  To help ensure a positive school experience for your child, please refer to the attached Fresh Start Day Program Occupational Track Discipline Plan. All behaviors and consequences listed in the Discipline Plan will be dealt with as outlined in the plan.
