Hi, I am Karen McCarter-Smith, I am A 6TH GRADE ELA teacher at Carver Middle School. I have a bachlor's and master's degree from Converse College, with endorsements in Read To Succeed and Gifted and Talented.  I have been teching in District 7 for 27 years, 8 of them at Carver. I was Teacher of the Year at Chapman Elementary in 2009-2010 school year and at Carver in the 2013-2014 school year. I love reading and teaching reading.
