    Integrate. Innovate. Inspire.

As part of its core mission to inspire and equip, Spartanburg School District 7 believes the use of technology can greatly support learning and instruction in our classrooms. In conjunction with our outstanding teachers, our 7Ignites initiative aims to create a truly student-centered, 21st century learning environment. Equipped with a plethora of state-of-the art technologies that includes mobile devices, interactive panels, sound systems and document cameras, each classroom provides a truly interactive learning environment where every student can engage in experiences that assist them in reaching their full learning potential.

    Seven Ignites

What started as a bold initiative in 2013, our 1:1 digital immersion has transformed into a nationally recognized program that has brought opportunities to engage and inspire our teachers and students.  Superintendent Dr. Russell Booker describes Seven Ignites as a "moral imparative", where devices in the hands of every student and teacher in grades 2-12 has brought an abundance of opportunities to engage all of our students in critical skills that will lead them to success in the classroom and beyond.  Find out more HERE.

Digital Citizenship is a concept that helps teachers, technology leaders and parents understand what students/children/technology users should know to use technology appropriately.  District Seven has has taken steps to fully ensure the secureity of hte technology used in our classrooms.  Further, we have partnered with Common Sense Media (commonsensemedia.org), a nonprofit organization that supports digital and media safety by providing valuable information to district leaders, teachers, parents and students.
