    What Virtual School Families Need to Know

    FRIDAY, AUGUST 14 UPDATE - VISIT the Virtual School Webpage 

    • Teacher Assignments and First Week Expectations
      Our first week will begin with our new Return to Learn curriculum, which includes community building, social-emotional support, academic assessments, and orientation about what to expect with the virtual school experience.

      Our enrollment in the virtual school has continued to evolve as District 7 has received new enrollments, so some class rosters are still being built and teachers and classes are being assigned. You will be contacted by your assigned teacher between Monday and Wednesday of next week. Rest assured that you will not be required to log on for virtual classes, and attendance will not be required, until you are contacted by your teacher.

      D7 Virtual School Pick Up Meals
      District 7 is providing breakfast and lunch meal service for all students, regardless of the learning model in which they participate. Students who qualify for free and reduced meals will receive meals accordingly; all other students may participate at the regular meal rates.

      Five-day meal kits are available for students enrolled in the District 7 Virtual School. Meals will be picked up each Monday between 8 a.m. - 10 a.m. at the location selected during registration (Carver Middle School, Cleveland Academy, Drayton Mills Elementary, E.P. Todd School). When Monday is a school holiday, pickup will be on Tuesday. Please register here by the Tuesday prior to pickup. More information and the registration form is available here

      Wi-Fi and Tech Support
      We have provided guidance on several common technical support issues on our website here. If you are unable to resolve technical difficulties on your own, the first step is to let your teacher know. Teachers are able to address many technical support questions. If your teacher is unable to resolve the problem, he/she will connect you with a member of District 7’s technology support team for additional guidance.

    Students should come prepared to school with supplies EVERY DAY ready to learn. The 3-ring binder is an essential part of our AVID method of organization and necessary for student success at Carver.

    Certain electives may require additional supplies.
